Hopes for the new place

I am excited about having a space we can use anytime.
I'm hoping it will be fun as well as quite a bit of work to get the space ready to use. I hope we'll get to know each other better working hands-on to build and prepare it.

I hope the project will generate new energy and enthusiasm and new ideas for what all we can do.
I'm looking forward to having classes and discussion groups there - having the EFM theology discussion group in our own space will be fantastic.
I'm excited about ideas that our youth have been working on for a youth service during the week; I'm hoping it can be a comfortable and safe space for young folks to hang out sometimes.
I'm looking forward to getting to know more of our neighbors in the shopping center there - especially enjoying the Thai Thip restaurant next door to us, Dino's Pizzeria, the Texas Star Bakery (already bought some banana nut bread), and maybe trying out the yoga studio. I also have a crazy idea that it would be fun to organize some kind of music event, in collaboration with the neighbors, using the gazebo in the parking lot as the stage.

These are just a few of my hopes. Mainly, I hope having a solid place we can meet anytime will give us a "footing" to step out in the community more, and a place we can gather to worship. I'm so glad we can get started now!
